Pantone’s Color of the Year: Cloud Dancer

As a bold designer with a focus on vivid colors, I was initially very hesitant over a white leaning neutral as the 2026 color of the year. However, in taking a step back and thinking about it, my sweaters, handbags, jackets, and scarves would all strike a great look with a white top and a pair of jeans. This would enable the statement pieces to truly stand out and get noticed for the story they tell.

I don’t wear much black, but I do love a white lace dress in the warmer months. The Dreams Come True, City Lights, and Bright Happy collections would make a dramatic impact next to an all-white outfit.

While I still challenge the lack of inspiration of Cloud Dancer, after some intense thought, I think I may give it a chance. Especially as a (dare I say) white couch with a statement footstool and bold Bright Happy Color blanket adding layers of charm and visual interest.
